简介
此页面介绍 OpenStack 的共享文件系统服务 -- Manila。Manila 源自 Cinder 项目,为共享或分布式文件系统提供 OpenStack 中的规范存储配置控制平面,类似于 Cinder 为块存储提供此类规范控制平面。
Manila 的设计和实现为多个后端提供了可扩展性(以支持供应商或文件系统特定的细微差别/功能),但足以适应各种共享或分布式文件系统类型。
基于文件的存储仍然是一个蓬勃发展的市场。各种应用程序,从服务器虚拟化到关系或分布式数据库,再到协作内容创建,都可以利用基于文件系统带来的性能、可扩展性和管理简单性,以及庞大的支持软件产品生态系统。
虽然 Manila 旨在为多租户 OpenStack 云中的计算实例提供文件共享的自助配置和访问控制,但由于它通过网络提供存储,因此可以为运行在其他云中的客户端或裸机、虚拟机主机或容器化工作负载提供文件共享基础设施。
